Injuries |
In November 2013 he required stitches after falling in the shower. The injury caused an occipital neuralgia and put pressure on his brain, resulting in pain and dizziness. He stayed in bed for nine days and then travelled to Peru to compete at the Bolivarian Games, but this made the situation worse. The movement of the horse shook his brain and caused multiple concussions. He also suffered temporary arrhythmia. He began riding again in March 2014 but found it was too painful and decided to take a full year away from the sport.
