STABLES In 2010 she moved into a purpose-built yard at Sycamore Farm in Middle Barton, England. (aoifeclarkeventing.com, 10 Nov 2021; cotswoldlife.co.uk, 23 Sep 2015; independent.ie, 24 Aug 2014)
MISSING WEG She was selected for the Irish squad ahead of the 2018 World Equestrian Games [WEG] in Tryon, NC, United States of America, but was ruled out after injuring herself in a fall in August at the Millstreet Horse Show in Ireland. "This game is full of highs and lows and missing the [2018] WEG was particularly tough, especially as my form with Fernhill Adventure had felt spot on, and it was such a strong team to be a part of. It was so hard for his owners and it felt really cruel, but these things do happen. I'm pretty good at picking myself back up." (horseandhound.co.uk, 14 Feb 2019)
MATERNITY BREAK She took a break from international competition from October 2018 to June 2019 in order to give birth to her son Patrick. She returned to competition at the CCI4* event in Bramham, England. "It will certainly be a new type of challenge, but one we are delighted about." (fei.org, 01 Aug 2019; horseandhound.co.uk, 14 Feb 2019) |
Injuries |
In August 2016 she fell from her horse and fractured two cervical vertebrae in her neck. She thought she had only suffered a trapped nerve, and competed the following month at the 2016 Event Rider Masters at Blenheim, England. (eventingnation.com, 21 Sep 2016) |
